Zen Cart Store Diagnostics

How Does It Work?

You need to have Store Manager for Zen Cart installed at your Windows-based PC. After being connected to your Zen Cart store database, you will see your products and categories in the application.

Now you can open Store Diagnostics page available in Tools section of Ribbon menu.

When you open it, you will see that the window consists of 2 tabs - Product Images Diagnostics and FTP Images Diagnostics.

In each section you will be able to detect particular type of pictures you need to deal with.


Product Images Diagnostics

This tab of images diagnostics allows you to check if you have unspecified images or missing images.

Unspecified images - are pictures for which there exists record in database, but actual image is not there (image is broken, because it was not uploaded correctly or by accident was removed from your server, but its relation to product has left).

Missing images - these are pictures that need to be added to products, i.e. products without images.

You can check one of boxes and run each check-up separately as well as check 2 boxes and see full list of images that should be further acted upon.


After you have decided what type of images diagnostics to choose, you can press “Run” button to start the process.


Next you can perform actions over received results, for instance, edit product, edit product image, export received listings to Excel or clear results.


FTP Images Diagnostics

This tab allows you to find out if you have got unused images - these are pictures not assigned to any products and simply occupy valuable free space at your FTP.

To manually detect whether you have such photos is almost impossible, so this type of checkup allows you avoid problems with reaching FTP quota.

After you have found the images that have no any relations with products established, you will be able to remove selected pictures and get more free space at your FTP.
