Language Translations

We welcome our customers to translate Store Manager software into languages other than English. On the page below you can find all the necessary software and tools to start and complete the translation. Additionally you can check out translator threads in MagneticOne Forum.

In order to translate Store Manager follow few steps:

  1. Download English Translation Source File:
  2. Download Automated translation (beta). Translations were made automatically, around 50-60% of all entries are translated.

  3. Download and install DKLang Translation Editor - Excellent software, required to translate Store Manager

    Installation

Click here to see translation software website

  4. Launch DKLang Translation Editor, select the .dklang file (downloaded earlier - see step 1) as source file and open an existing translation file (for example the .lng file with automated translation - see step 2) as shown below

    Open Files

In some cases there are differences in .dklang and .lng files. Please make sure that you have the latest files and hit OK to proceed.

    Differences

If you cannot find the automated translation, simply uncheck the option and create new translation. You need to specify Source Language (English) and Translation Language additionally to create a new translation.

  5. Now you're all set to translate the entries.

    DKLang Editor

Tip: Some entries may be used several times (duplicated in different forms), for example "Next", "Back", etc. You can translate it once, highlight the item, go to Tools -> Add selected to repository (CTPL+R). After that highlight all items (CTRL+A) and go to Tools -> Autotranslate selected (Ctrl+L) to translate the same titles automatically.

Note: Do not translate items like cxRadioGroup1, RecNum, etc.

  6. Save the .lng file with the translation when you're done. Go to File -> Save as and specify new file name.

Finally, translated .lng file must be placed in main application directory (for example: C:\Program Files\MagneticOne\Store Manager for osCommerce ), no other actions required to attach new language.
